Purpose:

Responsible for general business operation management and decision making of the company including production, maintenance, logistics, revenue and profitability of the company, marketing, sales, after sales and other day to day operations of the plant by forming appropriate processes, structure, staffing, organizing.


Accountabilities:


  • Execute the Mission, Vision and Direction set by the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that staffing and competency levels are achieved in all aspects of the plant.
  • Set strategy & implement business strategies, plans and procedures in line with the Vision and Mission of the company.
  • Develop strategy to build and maintain the brand image, product strategy, growth and sustainability of the Company.
  • Setup and maintain the sales, after sales, marketing network and achieve the sales targets, by appropriate market strategy.
  • Develop and recommend Annual Budget for Board approval and achieve the budget targets.
  • Prepare and monitor the plant budget and achieve cost reduction for increased profitability.
  • Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations of the Company.
  • Set up the Quality Management protocols for the products and mechanisms to meet the highest level of standards.
  • Meet the market demand efficiently, optimize production schedules, logistics for all manufacturing departments.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance, growth and design and align policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Champion innovation, problem solving, continuous improvement and process development in the plant.
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing and Quality Assurance Divisions to develop new products for markets
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors to meet marketing strategies and demands to ensure delivery as per optimum production timelines.
  • Prepare and execute strategy for plant ramp up including manufacturing, training and maintenance.
  • Write and submit reports to the BOD in all matters of importance.
  • All and other duties assigned by BOD to support the translation of the compay’s vision and mission.

    Qualifications


    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration.


    Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in bus manufacturing industry, there of 5+ years as senior managerial position in plant.
    • Excellent understanding of sales, marketing, P&L, Budgeting and Finance.
    • Previous experience in managing a new company or business unit will be a plus.
    • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement
    • Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
    • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
    • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities with decision-making and problem-solving
    • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
