Responsibilities
- Oversee daily salon operations
- Employee management: Recruitment, training, development, task delegation, motivation, and retention.
- Organize employees’ shifts, considering peak times and seasonality
- Strategic planning for managing and market the salon in order to build clientele
- Manage and handle clients with exceptional grace.
- Order beauty products, like creams and essential oils and replenish stock
- Arrange for regular maintenance services for all equipment
- Apply hygiene practices across all beauty stations
- Ensure all beauty treatments meet high-quality standards
- Maintain staff records, including salaries and working schedules
- Promote services, products, and discounts on social media
- Track all transactions and payments.
- Keep updated records of costs and revenues (e.g. daily, monthly and quarterly)
- Run online competitions on social media and offer discount packages to attract new customers
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Beauty Salon Manager or similar role
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to handle customers’ requests and complaints with grace.
- Good knowledge of beauty treatments and products (e.g. for skin care)
- Basic book keeping knowledge
- At least a bachelors degree in Business Administration or relevant fields
- Must have a basic understanding of computer, social media, internet, printers, phones, and customer management software and apps are needed to digitally manage a modern salon
