About the role
This is an exciting temporary full-time opportunity (up until June 2020) to help shape the development of Councils primary internal communications tool. The position is responsible for supporting the Internal Communications Advisor on the redevelopment of Council’s intranet.

On a day-to-day basis the position will:

  • Work collaboratively with Council’s IT team on the procurement, scoping and implementation of the new intranet for Council, ensuring that the final solution meets the internal communications needs for the organisation both now and into the future.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that their needs are met and they are regularly updated on the project’s progress.
  • Provide support to the Internal Communications Advisor on internal campaigns, and respond to day-to-day internal communication queries.



About the person
The successful candidate should have at least two years experience in developing and implementing successful internal communications programs including content for intranets within high-production or complex environments.

Experience in the re-development of intranet projects and/or change management will be highly regarded.

The applicant must hold a tertiary qualification in Communications or a related discipline.
