An exciting opportunity for a Merchandise Assistant to join our fun and friendly Merchandise Team. Reporting to the Category buyer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of the allocated categories along with proactive analysis reporting and recommendations.

In this hands-on role, your Primary responsibilities will be to:

• Ordering and receiving of stock and ensuring that order confirmations are checked within 48 hours of orders being placed
• Ensure all new SKUs are set up correctly in Jasper (cloud based software platform) prior to placing orders.
• Monitor supplier terms and conditions as per agreements and report on any issues
• Monthly reporting to vendors
• Assist the Assistant Buyer to create promotions by suggesting trends that can be capitalized on
• Setting up SKUs in Jasper ensuring costing information is recorded
• Product administration ensuring all data is accurate
• Ensure all range items are merchandised in the concept room and remove and transfer off range items
• Help Coordinate Concept Room with each Assistant Buyer for stock take for the category.
• Processes inwards and outwards stock through the department as required
• Action daily/weekly reports and highlight any issues with the Assistant Buyer
• Continually reviews the category and industry trends making recommendations to the Assistant Buyer on improving vendor performance
• Acts as a point of contact for all stores regarding stock queries, issues and feedback
• Attend new line presentations for the Category to keep abreast of new releases product updates as directed.
