The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu later asked the company to manage Jubail II, an $11 billion (2006-2016) expansion of the city’s industrial and residential areas. The project was expanded for a further five-years in 2016 with Bechtel’s work focusing on providing residential accommodation and education facilities - including a 18,000-student 'greenfield' university - as well as roads, bridges, medical centers, and power, water and waste facilities.


Job Dimensions:

Bechtel is seeking a Saudi National Project Accountant.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities can cover but not limited to the following:

  • Performs monthly B/S and P&L analysis and produces monthly reports
  • Preparation and review of monthly B/S and P&L reconciliations.
  • Receivables: Prepares and reviews client invoices and performs unbilled analysis
  • Works and liaises with our Riyadh, New Delhi and Glendale offices on a wide range of accounting matters
  • Payables: Processes vendor invoices, employee expense reports, GOSI reporting and other payables.
  • Payroll: Ensures monthly payroll is processed accurately on time and timesheets are accurately recorded
  • Prepares and reviews monthly gross payroll insurance report
  • Dealing with different banks in relation to ex-rates, cheque deposits etc.
  • Handles and audits office petty cash on a regular basis
  • Record keeping and archiving in FileNet and Aconex.
  • Prepares and reviews Journal entries, uploads entries in ledger using Oracle.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and analysis as requested by supervisor and Manager.
  • Performing all accounting tasks in accordance to Bechtel’s Controller procedures


Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree holder in Accounting/Finance.
  • At least 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Knowledge using accounting applications
  • Good verbal & written communication skills (English).
  • Possess good organization skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to deliver on time.
  • Proactive and can take initiatives.
  • Must be punctual and function well in team environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer literate in MS Excel, MS Word
  • Studying for an accounting certification
