  • Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Develop and maintain appropriate and accurate schedules to support efficient execution of work, cash flows and cost forecasts.
    • Maintains project ledgers showing budget line items, commitments, expenditures and forecasts on select programs
    • Flags significant projected overruns or underruns
    • Ensures the integrity of the project budget through approved scope changes, fiscal changes and contingency reallocations
    • Act as a single point contact for assigned project.
    • Provide comprehensive and accurate schedule reports including appropriate level of analysis to ensure a “no surprise” approach.
    • Support construction activities in the field.
    • Closely monitor performance against realistic targets to ensure that objectives and KPI’s are met.
    • Implement appropriate levels of field quantity & schedule analysis to validate projects’ field progress.
    • Identify, analyze, and respond to project opportunities, risks, and uncertainties.
    • Manage assigned scheduling resources.
    •  Work with site resources to complete all closeout requirements
    • Evaluate critical and near critical path activities.
    • Meets with project team(s) to identify work activities and their flow.
    •  Develops critical path construction schedule(s) and analyzes the path and other constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend “workaround”.
    • Integrates project team logic and sequencing into the project schedule(s).
    • Memorializes the historical timeline of the project(s).
    •  Prepares draft schedules for review and approval.
    • Develops and updates weekly short interval schedule(s) based on project team input.
    • Updates schedule(s) based on project inputs and incorporates fragments into the schedule(s) to identify impacts.
    • Alerts project team(s) of risks affecting project profit, costs, schedules and client relations.
    • Advises project team(s) of potential activities that can be scheduled to enhance the project delivery and recommends alternate ways to push activities back to better manage resources.
    • Works with Estimating to develop preliminary schedules
    • Develop and Maintain Project Schedules
    • Provide Analysis and evaluation of Project Schedules and milestones
    • Prepare and understand schedules, be able to articulate cause and effect of schedule changes

     

    Qualifications:

    

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, in construction projects, required
    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with emphasis on Project Management.
    • Good organizational skills a must.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
    • Experience using computer programs and software: Primavera, P6, Microsoft Projects, EXCEL, WORD, Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Ability to read, understand, and retain a working knowledge of contracts, specifications, drawings, and scope of work
    • Has a knack for anticipating and predicting probable outcomes based on prior experiences and “what-if” scenarios
    • Ability to work within a multi-functional team, recognizing and balancing various project needs against individual project requirements
