HR Generalist

Our client, a fast-growing tech company is looking for a proactive and confident HR Generalist with strong administrative skills to support their growing business.

This individual will be responsible for providing front line HR consulting services employees and managers in all areas of HR while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and corporate policies/procedures.

Required experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of UAE legislation and relevant case law including but not limited to: Labor, Human Rights, Privacy, Employment & Pay Equity, and Health & Safety.
  • Knowledge of UAE labor legislation is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations. A hands-on thinker with developed HR diagnostic, coaching, mentoring, and consultative skills.
  • Competency in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs and Sheets
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to new processes as needed
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or Business or an equivalent mix of experience and education.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience as a People Generalist

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure a quality administration (Preparation of Employment and Termination Contracts and Letters, liaison with Immigration Authorities for Work permits and residencies, Benefits administration, Reference letters & employment confirmations.
  • Ensure flawless Payroll and Workday administration
  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on legislation, daily employee relations, and performance management issues
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions
  • Set up the induction program for new starters
  • Recruitment - take full ownership for the recruitment process
  • Provide HR metrics for the region covered
  • Serve as subject matter expert in one or two functional areas of HR (training, compensation, organizational development, coaching, executive development, etc)
