JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance training, this role is responsible for providing certain elements of Geodata production to GDMS as directed by the Mapping and Charting Supervisor.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The position will be directed by their HMCS and/or MC Supervisor to produce all geographic products including but not limited to:

• Traditional mapping products.
• Digital geographic products.
• Field survey data collection and verification.
• Any other geospatial data as required, ensuring production meets required quality and quantity standards.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

• Must have Survey Engineering experience or a qualification in a Geospatial discipline.
• Must hold extensive experience in a mapping production environment.
• Knowledge and experience on digital mapping or geodata production is essential.
• Alternatively be a Mapping and Charting Technician Trainee who has successfully completed the corresponding GTS Training programme.
• Stereoscopic vision and good colour perception is required.
• Data Validation experience is required.
