Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets

WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets. The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the Bank’s fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting and performing general ledger reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will perform general ledger account reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts as assigned by management, will maintain and will reconcile fixed asset trial balance and pre-paid expenses in accordance with Bank policy. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating capital expenditure requests and related requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant Bank policies. The incumbent will assist with accounting policy and SOX compliance and research in order to maintain the integrity of the Bank’s financial statements and will assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports of a more complex nature (i.e. Annual Report, 10-K, 10-Q, Press Releases). The Senior Accountant will also work on other accounting related duties and special projects as assigned. This is a fulltime position, M-F and may require evening and/or weekend hours during peak reporting and filing times. The position is located at the WSFS Bank Center in downtown Wilmington.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related Business discipline. CPA a plus but not required.
  • Must have 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience. Prior fixed asset accounting experience is a plus. Banking and/or financial services industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP related to Fixed Assets
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to handle simultaneous projects and meet established deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently to solve problems as well as work as a part of team on special projects and assignments.
  • Must have good organizational and analytical skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain effective cross- functional relationships.

  • Incumbent will be required to stand for intermittent periods of time.
  • Incumbent may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
  • The incumbent will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, push items over head, occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The incumbent will also be required to talk, hear, see, read and write.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This position requires regular lifting and moving of up to 10-25 lbs.
