Inventory Controller

  • At least 5-8 years of experience as an Inventory Manager/Controller
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills and decision making
  • Managing slow/obsolete stock
  • Investigating stock outages and addressing issues within the branch
  • Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
  • Tracking stock movements, including goods inwards, dispatches, returns and rejections and internal transfers
  • Inventory Turns
  • Managing the Stock to maintain accuracy of physical stock and computer records
  • Investigate and determine cause of negative stock and manage shrinkage
  • Assist with the implementation of stock takes and stock take procedures
  • Create and drive a culture of awareness around shrink and profit protection
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
  • Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
  • Creation of product codes
  • Provide root cause analysis and reporting on stock turns, missing orders and out of stock situations.
  • Monthly warehouse visit for stock counts
