NOHFC PROGRAM ANALYST & PROJECT INTERN - Canada

    The Corporate Services Unit is seeking a Program Analyst & Project Intern to provide support in policy development, program review, planning and delivery activities to support process evaluation and re-engineering projects.

  • What can I expect to do in this role?

    You will:
  • assist in research projects to provide advice on improving NOHFC program delivery and services, including data integrity, quality control, and optimized business process mapping
  • identify economic/statistical data and recommend policy and program enhancements
  • perform literature reviews and conduct client surveys
  • participate on projects to plan, co-ordinate and develop detailed program evaluation
  • assist in the research and development of programs and policies
  • participate in the development of standards, processes, methods, techniques and performance measures
  • attend inter-ministerial, inter-governmental and committee meetings

  • How do I qualify?

    General Knowledge

  • You have an understanding of the northern economy, community needs, resources and readiness as well as where sector expansion/development should occur

  • Project Management and Program Delivery Knowledge

  • You demonstrate knowledge of project management theories and methodologies to assist in planning, coordination and implementation of project activities and manage deliverables
  • You have knowledge of program delivery and planning processes to conduct client surveys and program reviews

  • Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • You have knowledge of data analysis, and research and evaluative methods/techniques
  • You have strong research and analytical skills to conduct research, collection information and analyze program data
  • You have evaluative and problem solving skills to evaluate survey results and business processes, and identify process/service delivery issues

  • Communication Skills

  • You demonstrate communication skills to develop surveys, articulate research findings, prepare presentations and work effectively with team members

  • Computer Skills

  • You are proficient with software packages such as Share point, Word, Outlook and Excel to prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations and correspondence
