For our client, an important multinational automotive sector, we are looking for a Head of
Engineering for its plant in Italy in Rovigo.

MISSION:

Provide technical support in the industrialization of new references and in continuous
improvement projects in accordance with the superior's guidelines and established procedures
in order to ensure production, as well as to improve and optimize processes.

FUNCTIONS:

• Plan projects in detail in order to achieve the planned deadline, technical and economic
  objectives.
• Make proposals (if applicable) to the Client for design modifications to improve the
  product and its feasibility.
• Design and calculate the precise tools for the correct industrialization of the product,
  together with the CAD / CAM Designer, helping them and approving them upon receipt.
• Organize periodic meetings with the different members of the project team (Quality,
  Plant Engineering, Purchasing, Production) to establish and implement the project's
  action plan.
• Report regularly on the status of projects under your responsibility, to the Engineering
  Department.
• Require the Department of Quality and Production to carry out tests and the necessary
  controls of the products, exploit and validate these results to achieve the objectives of
  the project.
• Coordinate the project team for the preparation and maintenance of the documentation
  related to the project, both internally (ISO TS) and externally requested by the client
  (ANPQP, PPAP, ...).
• Transfer technical protection from manufacturing to Production to fulfill the defined
  objectives of the project.
• Propose and define improvement projects on tools with inputs from the different plant
  areas.
• Start the tool replacement process, with the support of Project Engineering (Central).
• Maintain the descriptive documentation of tools at the latest level in the Engineering
  database using the company's CAD media.
• Work as a team with the various departments of the Plant.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• University Training in Engineering or accreditation of experience in a similar position.
• 2 - 3 years experience in a similar position.
  
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D software (Catia preferred), casting and quality tools and
  techniques.
• Knowledge of office automation at the user level.
• Italian native speaker. Good level of technical English is essential.
  
• Very organized and methodical person, with interest in technical analysis.
• Resolute and with initiative.
• It is an essential skill and experience for teamwork.
• Leadership capacity of a small team of collaborators.
