What will you do?
Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for quality compliance by ensuring the continued application of good manufacturing practices. In addition, the supervisor will participate and lead quality improvement projects and will carry out the prevention and detection of non-conformities. The supervisor also must apply and comply with the rules of safety, quality and continuous improvement and actively demonstrate leadership by promoting a culture of quality.
Responsibilities:
Plan, assign and allocate human and material resources according to the tasks of the Quality Assurance department.
Maintain a healthy work environment in accordance with the collective agreement in effect
Plan meetings, training and preventative maintenance so that the production schedule is adhered to at all times.
Plan internal transformer testing
Track and analyze non-conformities and corrective actions
Communicate with suppliers to address the quality aspect of non-conformities
Participate in internal and external audits of suppliers
Track and report customer returns
Signal any event that affects the quality or frequency of non-conformities.
Participate in all working groups to resolve non-conformities
Draft and communicate any reports or records required by the line manager
Participate in the continuous improvement program and in workplace health and safety initiatives
Support the head of the ISO management system
Perform all other duties required for the fulfillment of the role
What will you need to succeed?
DEC in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or in a related field
1 to 5 years in a staff supervision role within an industrial production environment
Experience in the field of quality assurance is an asset
Good knowledge of standards and regulation
Results-oriented, performance and customer focus.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize activities and perform many tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of Lean tools and problem solving methods would be an asset
Very strong fluency in French (spoken and written), and basic knowledge of English (spoken and written)
