    SUMMARY:


    An opportunity exists for a Senior Analyst to join the Portfolio Management Group at TAO Administration Inc. This is a full-time position and is based in TAO’s Toronto office.


    The role requires a motivated self-starter who will assist in the management and administration of complex structured finance and traditional securitization transactions. The core responsibilities of this role will be focused on executing settlements on a periodic basis using the capabilities of our advanced proprietary system and other technical tools to achieve efficiency and quality in all critical data processing activities. 


    The ideal candidate would be able to effectively analyze and translate large amounts of data for application in transaction-related cash settlements and compliance monitoring.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:


    • Execute settlements on a periodic basis for a variety of simple and complex transactions. Settlement responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


    - Confirm portfolio asset payments, prepare liability settlement calculations/invoices, execute new -funding transfers, and reconcile cash balances

    - Update/generate various reports and financial models for monitoring purposes

    - Analyze servicer and portfolio reports to ensure compliance with defined portfolio performance parameters and liaise with third parties to resolve issues

    - Compile raw data received from third parties and update data templates for system upload

    - Complete the required system data uploads and generate/review portfolio validation reports

    - Execute system-related tasks required for new deal set-up that include: creating and testing related Excel-based upload templates, building settlement calculation formulas and creating required settlement reports


    • Complete comprehensive review of monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Perform various daily operations to support key functions of the business unit
    • Collaborate with the Trust Accounting Group to resolve discrepancies identified during the settlement accounting validation process
    • Complete troubleshooting and resolving issues related to system processes and reporting
    • Lead/assist in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives by leveraging technology to increase productivity
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
    • Lead/execute system testing of new functionality as implemented from time to time


    ACADEMIC AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Mathematics or a related discipline preferred; MBA, CFA, and/or CPA (completed or in progress) considered an asset
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (complex formulas and macro expertise preferred)
    • 3-5 years of progressive experience, preferably in the financial services industry
    • Strong working knowledge of data modelling, database concepts and applications
    • Prior experience in operations, treasury, funding or loan administration is preferred
