Our client, a FinTech Company based in Milan is looking to hire a:

                                                    Senior Data Engineer

• Company: FinTech

Tasks

• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines and architectures.
• Work together with our Data team to productionize statistical models and algorithms.
• Make sure our data architecture is as scalable as the rest of the business.
• Some examples of what you could do from day one - develop a graph database infrastructure to power-up our fraud detection algos, design an event-based database to analyze and backtest our portfolio monitoring rules and much more.

Skills

• You are a smart, humble, concrete team player. You talk straight, you know how to efficiently communicate your thoughts and findings, you enjoy working in heterogeneous teams with diverse backgrounds.You don't fear to get your hands dirty if needed
• Supreme fluency in SQL (preferably speaking PostgreSQL) and Python (3.7, our Data stack). Experience with Scala is appreciated.
• Databases Master & Commander. You have experienced designing, developing and maintaining data models using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Amazon S3 (Cassandra is nice to have).
• Superb knowledge of Map-Reduce concepts and relevant data modeling. Experience with Apache Spark and/or Apache Kafka is appreciated (a lot).
• You have experience with CI/CD - Docker experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of the AWS cloud-based infrastructure toolkit. Bonus points if you know how and when to apply lambda architectures.
• Good know-how on ways to integrate statistical and ML models into real-world systems and applications.
• You are comfortable with Kubernetes and other orchestration related tools (nice to have).
• Previous experience in the financial industry is nice to have.
• 4-5 years of experience
• Nice to have: personal projects on Github
