Position: Senior Executive IT - Information Security

Location: Islamabad 

Job Purpose: 

• To ensure the security of Information Systems and data protection by managing information and cyber security risks of the organization 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Be responsible for ensuring information / cyber security of organization
• Ensuring information / cyber security from concept to go live and post go live for different IT projects
• Continuous assessment of existing software systems, Applications, portals, network & infrastructure to identify the vulnerabilities and risks.
• Assessment of web, mobile apps (android & IOS) and their integrations with mission critical IT Systems.
• Evaluation of integration process of IT systems with external entities through APIs or other methods.
• Build a plan to mitigate the vulnerabilities and risks identified during assessment exercises.
• Forensic analysis of IT security incidents.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding the adequacy of the security controls.
• Develop, implement, and execute the policies / procedures for the administration of Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) system and perform routine checks and preventative maintenance of SIEM and other security solutions.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing logs of applications, operating systems (Linux, Solaris and Windows), databases, network, and security devices etc. and prepare comprehensive reports along with recommendations.
• SQL and Script writing using (Ruby, Python, PHP, ASP, JavaScript or others) as per requirement for security assessments.
• Training and awareness campaigns at departmental and organizational level

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): 

Education: 

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering
• MS in Information Security would be preferred  

Work Experience: 

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience & 3 years of the experience in information / Cyber Security.

• Must have proven track record of performing comprehensive security assessment of IT & Telecom systems. 
• Must have proven track record of implementation of IT security vulnerabilities mitigation plans.
• Must have strong background of network and network security related concepts.
• Must have rich experience of using different tools to perform information / cyber Security assessments
• Must be Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) would be preferred
• Must be familiar with ISO27001, ISO27002, COBIT & ITIL.
• Strong understanding of IT System and Telco is required
