Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) - An Award-winning catering company, provides exclusive catering services to Qatar Airways and other airlines that service Hamad International Airport.

About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to head a group of supervisors and take responsibility for the distribution of their tasks. You will be responsible for all operations of receiving, storing and issuing materials in food stores, general stores and keeping the JDE system online with accuracy. You are also responsible for the organisation of physical stocktaking, controlling variances, updating expiry dates and informing relevant departments on items running close to expiry as well as monitoring rosters and manpower as per business needs.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • To control and confirm JDE entries pertaining to stores on a real-time basis
  • Ensuring JDE records are kept online 24/7
  • Physical stocktaking including distribution of tasks to supervisors and minimising stock variances
  • Control waste management by monitoring short shelf-life products, expiry dates and slow-moving items
  • Control and sign off documents for proper material accounting
  • Oversee adherence to SOPs to ensure all operational processes and stores are carried out in an efficient and safe manner
  • Coordinate with internal users to enhance processes
  • Provide regular updates between purchase and demand planning teams to ensure sufficient inventory to support customer orders
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure the smooth flow of goods
  • Monitor internal and external warehouse operations for smooth production runs
  • Take full charge of cycle count, monthly reconciliations and variance minimisation
  • Identify and escalate to management non-moving and slow-moving items to avoid write-offs
  • Write MIS reports as required by QACC management
About You:

The successful candidate hold a relevant College or University qualification to minimum Bachelor level, preferably in Logistics, Materials Management or Warehouse Management.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant job experience (food and beverage stores experience preferred)
  • Team supervising in storekeeping
  • Computer knowledge (ERP knowledge is preferred)
  • Good knowledge of JDE and WMS usage with an ability to identify the system gaps
  • Ability to communicate with IT to update the systems if necessary
  • Good knowledge of stores and receiving processes and policies
