Technical Trainer in Alberta.

Description:

The Instructor is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the training content (requiring various levels of specialization) and must be able to present it effectively by altering delivery style to match to the learning audience. The Instructor works with various stakeholders to evaluate the success of learning programs and may serve as an on-site performance coach through consulting, monitoring and evaluating training results.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in train the trainer activities
  • Review content and practice to ensure effective delivery.
  • Some pre-program coordination activities required by trainer
  • Compile pre-work or assessment results
  • Set-up and disassemble training environment
  • Deliver learning program using existing presentation materials that follow an instructional flow
  • Complete level 1 and level 2 learning program evaluations for participant reaction and learning
  • Post-program phone and/or email follow-up activities required by trainer
  • Provide feedback on program improvements such as content, flow, exercises, activities

Experience:

  • Worked within client specific industry or line of business
  • Good knowledge of subject matter
  • Industry Accreditation
  • 3 to 7 years of learning delivery experience with greater than 6 days per month spent in the classroom
  • Front line to mid level manager audience experience
  • Undergraduate level degree or Instruction Certification equivalent
  • Proficiency using presentation tools and equipment
  • Direct or indirect people management
  • Some instructional design background


Overall compensation for this role is positioned as ‘competitive’ and will vary depending on your level of experience, and number of years you have applied your skills.
