Catering Support Manager - National Role (flexible to home based location)

A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as an Catering Support Manager, reporting directly to our Catering Director.
Primary Job Purpose:
To ensure Homeowners in all developments receive the best level of catering service possible by supporting the wider catering team in managing and maintaining the catering service.
- Catering support
- Contract management and tender coordination
- New development review and provision
- Finance and budgets
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the wider catering team in ensuring the catering service that is provided matches the needs and expectations of the Company and of the Homeowners.
- Attend Developments to monitor food quality, presentation and service and address areas of concern with the Catering Contractors / Estate Team.
- Develop action plans to address poor food quality, presentation and service, monitor each and evaluate monthly.
- Attend homeowner meeting to gather feedback on food service operations and liaise with the Catering Contractor / YLMS Area Manager to address areas of concern.
- Assist the wider catering team in the start-up of the catering operation in new developments.
- Support the Catering Director in the re-tender of Existing Developments.
- Working with the Catering Support Analyst to liaise with the catering contractors to ensure accurate billing of catering costs and ensuring they are in line with budget. Investigate over/under spends and provide statistical analysis to the Catering Director.
- Oversight of the catering provision offered across our developments.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Level 3 or above is essential
- Good general education to A Level or Diploma standard (or equivalent)
- Excellent IT/Microsoft Office skills including the use of Excel and databases
- Diploma Level 3 in Catering Management or equivalent (Desirable)
- Experience of working in a healthcare catering environment or similar
- Exposure to the tender process with contract catering.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical architect plans would be an advantage.
- Contract management within a contract catering background.
- Experience within a commercial kitchen environment.
- Good IT/Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills including excellent presentation skills.
- Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Flexible and positive in approach.
