The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: The estimated start date of this position would be April 01, 2020 after receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.
Duties
Basic Function of the Position – The incumbent provides the full range of non-adjudicatory Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) and American Citizen Services (ACS) processing, including biometric collection and assisting local staff in preparation of applications for adjudication. The incumbent provides a variety of ACS, SAO and INK preparation/drafting, assists in the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU), performs administrative tasks, such as correspondence, website maintenance and performs various functions. The incumbent also accepts, processes and pre-screens U.S. passport application forms and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA’s). Must be able to secure a Secret level security clearance.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: One year of work experience in customer service and an office environment is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Administrative and customer correspondence experience.
A high school diploma.
LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English. “This may be tested”
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion is required.
- Demonstrated skills in MS Office suite and general computer skills including information and database management is required.
- Organizational skills, including task management and filing skills; communication skills including writing skills appropriate for drafting cables and correspondence and word processing is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of State Secret security clearance.

Benefits and Other Info
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Dubai, United Arab Emirates may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
