The Position 

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be part of one of the most exciting teams at Flybits. You will be working closely with UX designers, project managers, and back-end engineers to implement versatile frontend solutions to tricky web development problems. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of product components, as well as for executing reliability into code, infrastructure and process delivery.

Responsibilities: 

• Plan, design, develop, implement, and test single-page applications
• Build UI components that can be reused across multiple applications
• Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
• Ensure all features are developed in a backwards-compatible with accessibility and responsive design in mind
• Work independently or with other engineers to develop user experience-focused web applications, or provide support for existing system
• Collaborate with designers, back-end engineers, stakeholders, and clients to understand business goals, analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the end product

Must Haves:

• Understanding of best practices for web development and software design
• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented JavaScript
• Experience developing single page applications with Ember.js 
• Experience integrating with external APIs and microservices
• Experience with CSS preprocessing frameworks such as Sass or Less
• Experience with ES6 promises and deferred asynchronous operations
• Expert and recent experience with single-page application development
• Experience and thorough understanding of Git, repository management, and related workflows
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent expertise 

Bonus Points: 

• Experience developing single-page applications with React, AngularJS, or VueJS
• Experience with task runners such as Broccoli or Webpack
• Experience developing in Go, C#, or Java
• Experience in engineering user-facing software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity
• Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and client-side optimization techniques
• Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience, including accessibility and responsive design
