Job Objective
The Head of PRS System Integration Project Management is responsible to deliver projects included in the relevant perimeter of activities and therefore to achieve the expected economic results as per budget.
PRS System Integration Project Management covers the perimeter of PRS BL system integration projects, including:
Within its Project Management area He/She may identify, within the assigned Project Managers, coordinators for specific perimeter of activities, with the responsibility to coordinate the relevant Project Managers and to foster synergies across projects and capitalize lesson learnt.
He/She is responsible, for the projects within such perimeter, to assure, through the coordination and leadership of the assigned PMs of the achievement of all and each objective (technical, operational, economical, financial and businesswise) within the defined schedule and budget and with the expected quality of the relevant projects.
He/She coordinates and leads the execution and the implementation of the projects vis-à-vis with the Customers and in strict coordination with the Company Functions.

- Oil & Gas Engineering and Procurement projects
- Specific Domestic system integration projects

Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the project portfolio profitability, sales and costs.
- Ensure allocation of the correct resources to assigned projects and the loading of the assigned resources
- Ensure coordination and management, when necessary, of the Thales units involved in the Projects (Countries, other entities) in full respect of the organization and its policy, assuring primarily the Thales overall interest.
- Ensure that complex projects (in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment) are using adequately and opportunely the Project Management processes, methodologies, best practices, techniques and tools (Primavera).
- Manage and overall coordinate the project managers team, in line with the Company Organization.
- Properly direct and manage the business associated to the projects.
- Ensure the satisfactory completion of the Contracts within its perimeter with particular reference to quality, HSE, timescale, cost, resources and Employer satisfaction.
- Ensure definition and development of the Customer relationship strategy: understand the client’s environment, determine the client’s interfaces and identify client’s responsibilities.
- Ensure identification of all and each project stakeholders, understand their environment and their influences and/or expectations on the projects, and then define a plan to manage them through a win-win approach.
- Ensure management of the contractual terms of the project.
- Check the progress of the projects activities, with reference to the planned timetable.
- Monthly monitor the profit of the projects and ensures identification and implementation of the necessary action plan to maximize the profit.
- Ensure that assigned PMs supervise, coordinate and support the System Engineer and Customer Service during the commissioning phase, maintenance and warranty, supported by the Project Design Authority.
- Validate the projects Statement of Work (baseline): confirm the scope, contractual issues and validate risk assumptions.
- Validate the project structure including the project management organizations and project team organizations, ensuring that project roles and responsibilities are assigned to individuals.
- Set internal targets in line with Contracts requirements and Thales expectations.
- Validate the Project Management Plans (PMP).
- Approve processes and general procedures (including progress measurement and performance measurements procedures).
- Ensure management of the project risks including contingency plans and risk mitigation.
- Assure that assigned PMs apply correctly Quality and HSE procedures and instructions.
- Define the project portfolio key progress and performance indicators (schedule, budget, quality).
- Support the PMs for the activities related to Variation to Contractual Scope of Work.
- Be focused on anticipation, especially in risks and opportunities management, pursuing continuous improvement.
- University Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunication or Computer) or equal knowledge acquired through work experience.
- At least 6 years’ experience as PM or GPM.
- Good technical background of the following systems in the Security and Telecommunication environment: Communications, Security, Safety, Airport IT, O&G applications.
- Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
- Team worker with strong leadership skills, able to manage teams and resources that do not necessarily report to him/her in the hierarchy.
- Problem solver with a proactive attitude, business oriented with strong motivation to work towards targets.
- Proven experience in managing customers, stakeholders and complex projects in difficult contexts, with challenging targets, within a multicultural and international environment, facing multi-disciplinary technical areas
