Your Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and documentation of the Integrity and Assessment administrative processes and practices.
  • Assist in maintaining information technologies and the incident management database that represent best practice in compliance with relevant Acts and Regulations and departmental policies.
  • Assist with maintaining effective time management practices for the Manager, including prioritising correspondence and responding to outstanding queries and requests for information. This includes, in some cases, being first point of contact for incoming complaints.
  • Assist with developing, implementing and reviewing executive support systems and procedures within the unit.
  • Maintain accuracy in all correspondence and administrative documents, in preparation and delivery of the unit's interactions with Queensland Police Service (QPS), Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC), Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) and other internal business units.
  • Contribute as part of a team to the development of plans and key performance indicators that will measure and monitor performance so as to achieve improved outcomes with regard to case and file management.
  • Monitor progress and report to the Manager on various projects, research and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters as requested, as they relate to complaints management tasks.
  • Liaise with other government agencies and external organisations on a variety of administrative and investigative related issues, along with regions, regional offices and schools on case status.
  • Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring the information management activities of the unit, including providing advice and maintenance for the incident management system, policies and procedures, monitoring investigation cases and updating databases.
  • Assist with developing, coordinating, maintaining and reviewing administrative procedures and systems and monitoring of the unit's communications strategy.
  • Assist the Manager and the Director in matters pertaining to the unit's corporate reporting, including, performance monitoring reports, ministerial and parliamentary briefs and other reporting requirements.
  • Provide in house training specific to database use, administration required for cases and files, undertake assessment and preparation of Student Protection referrals and Code of Conduct Breaches and investigative documentation as required.
