Department Description

Being part of the PVH Menswear division, the Tailored team fulfills a central role being a pivotal function between the Wholesale and Retail channels, Design and Product Development.

The Merchandising team manages collection KPI's by creating the range plans for the different seasonalities, setting margin targets and is closely involved together with Design and Product Development in building appropriate collections true to the Brand, in tune with market developments and latest trends.

Position Description and Responsibilites

The Merchandiser will be performing the following tasks for a defined product categories:

Create clear strategic merchandise plans which support a premium yet commercial consumer-centric vision, and full, detailed range plans according to Corporate targets, divisions vision, Market feedback & needs and sales history -Top Down and Bottom Up –.

Hand over Range Plan to Design/Production teams in most user friendly manner - Supported by all needed info (History, market trends, market feedback…)

Propose Sample plans for each season in relation with Dashboard targets.

Work closely with the sales teams, retail team and business analyst to gather important qualitative and quantitative feedback in order to apply a more “end-consumer” approach to our range planning.

Analyze and provide competitor overviews before each start of a new season, showing their offer and price build up, online, as well as in stores.

Be knowledgeable of the market in order to identify commercial opportunities and make necessary recommendations to product teams.

Create relevant sales & collection analyses; eg. per country, average selling price, margin, fit, fabrics, etc.

Work closely with production and design to follow up the development of the collection, remain informed of the evolution of the collection during its development.

Consolidate and work with PLM system keeping track of style/option count, RRP build up, collection build-up of the actuals versus the range plans , LY & targets, Support merchandising Director in monitoring these – highlighting irregularities in pricing, costing, count, flow, needs

Work through Retail pricing architecture against each product group and assign merchandise quantities (forecast) for each style, as well as drop dates, in line with collection-flow targets.

Find new opportunities to maximize efficiency of the collection, Learn & assist on all elements in the menswear product lifecycle from strategy to product delivery

Assist the merchandising director/manager with creating innovative and commercial assortments around the product updates across multiple product types, categories and deliveries.

Support merchandising team with other tasks when needed (i.e: ad hoc analyses, additions, sales tools, and requests from sales, marketing or other departments…)

Assist to and help preparing all collection Key meetings (GAM, Market Launch, proto reviews, product reviews)

Requirements
  • Graduated at HBO level or equivalent (or higher)
  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience (Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, etc.) in the fashion industry
  • Knwoledge of Mens collections, industry and competitors landacape
  • Fluent in English – additional languages are a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of, and skilled in, MS PP and MS Excel (pivot tables, reports with big amounts of data)
  • Able to work in a hectic environment
  • High productivity is demanded, able to work with deadlines
