Ropstam BPO is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join our growing team at Bahria Town, Phase 4 Islamabad Office in Pakistan.

As a Senior WordPress developer, you are comfortable creating custom themes and plugins. You have a strong understanding of PHP and take security very seriously. You are comfortable working with high-traffic sites and performance is a top priority. You know how to write reusable code and work well with other developers.

KEYACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborate with the development team on various projects
• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins based on supplied designs or front-end templates
• Write clean and organized code that can be shared and collaborated on with other team members
• Run security audits and perform code reviews
• Evaluate WordPress sites for performance enhancements
• Run QA and UAT testing
• Assist with data migration and site launches
• Be involved in sprint planning and scoping project requirements

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of Agency experience
• Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Vast knowledge of PHP and MySQL
• JavaScript/AJAX
• Package manager and automation tool experience. Eg. npm & gulp.
• Demonstrated understanding of Responsive Web Design principles.
• Experience working with various REST APIs
• Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub and/or SVN
• Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites from scratch & de-facto standard plugins.
• Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level
• Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions
• Creation of custom post types
• Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
• Creation of clean, logical well-documented and re-usable code
• Theme/Template integration
• Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) beneficial
• Experience creating multi-lingual websites would be plus
• Knowledge and experience of web accessibility
• Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser
• PHP5-7, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, SASS JavaScript
• Cross-Browser/Cross-Platform Design
• WordPress Plug-in development and customization
• WordPress Theme Concepts
• WooCommerce & E-commerce platforms implementation experience
• WooCommerce complete customization with code 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and organization skills.
