Active Directory Architect

We are in search of an Active Directory Architect who will be accountable for the design and  architecture of a large Active Directory and Windows Server enterprise environment. Including the

design and implementation of Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.  You will be recommending, and integrating hardware/software solutions in the infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with all change management procedures and guidelines.

 

Job Functions:

  • Provide ultimate responsibility for design, architecture, and support of Microsoft Active Directory and key subcomponents
  • Design, document, test, and implement appropriate backup and disaster-recovery mechanisms for all Microsoft enterprise platforms (Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, etc.)
  • Continuously identify, plan, and implement necessary upgrades to support capacity planning, business requirements, and Microsoft OS/domain upgrades
  • Implement scalable solutions to support critical infrastructure services running in Active Directory, such as LDAP, DNS, and authentication and identity solutions
  • Perform root-cause analysis of complex issues ranging through hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with a variety of infrastructure teams and business users to quickly arrive at inventive and long-term solutions.
  • Work closely with End-User Services and Platform engineers to structure and define appropriate domain structure, sites, services, trusts, and OU/GPO hierarchy to support all elements of end-user, desktop, server and core processing platforms
  • Collaborate with Governance, Risk and Compliance to mitigate vulnerabilities, define and implement security policies and baseline standards

 

Required Skills:

  • At least 5+ years of experience 5+ architecting, designing, and troubleshooting of MS Active Directory a large-scale enterprise environment
  • A Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology (client and server) including AD Federation, Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
  • Creation of Azure AD cloud solution
  • Knowledge of file and print server management and trouble shooting
  • Strong knowledge of domain controller configuration and migration
  • Experience with designing and deploying group policies
  • Experience effectively communicating, technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions to stakeholders
  • High-level understanding of datacenter, storage and virtuailization
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills
  • Self-starter and self-motivated a must
  • Experience with Exchange on-prem and cloud configuration and deployment a plus!
  • Experience with Hitachi Psync/Password Manager a plus!
