Role Summary:

A mechanical assembler uses a variety of tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches and written instructions to assemble the parts or products. Leads people and coordinate tasks in multiple working cells

Essential Responsibilities:


Assembles semi-complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material.


Supervise and/or Performs functional testing on assemblies.


Supervise and/or Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria.


Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.


Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools.


Performs torquing of various components.


Performs general labor duties associated with heat treat operations

Qualifications/Requirements:


High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.


7+ years experience.

Desired Characteristics:


Experience in leading others in work efforts.


Experienced mechanical background and leadership positions


Proficient in the use of forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools and power tools needed for assembly.
