What You’ll Do

As the Director, Supply Planning you will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and monitoring supply planning activities focused on delivering customer service goals, increasing inventory efficiency to improve inventory turns and Days of Supply (DOS) while reducing inventory investment, measuring supply performance, leading and developing a planning team and strengthening working relationships with internal and external business partners. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible to ensure consistent execution of all weekly supply related activities including: delivery weekly updates to a rolling 12-week master schedule to contract manufacturing partners, provide senior leadership with explanation of prior week’s service performance as well as forward looking customer service projections with visibility to at risk items and reporting on production schedule attainment / adherence to operations leadership
  • Lead monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Step 3 (Supply Review) with Operations leadership team; Content includes 12-18 month Rough Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP), forward looking FG inventory projections, production calendars for all co-mans and issue sheets to call out critical challenges that will impact our ability to service the business with recommended actions
  • Responsible for recommending targets for and managing KIND finished goods inventory levels deliver desired customer service results while minimizing obsolescence within budgets
  • Leading quarterly meeting with manufacturing team review planning rates and MOQ’s to ensure contract manufacturing partners are meeting expectations and that minimums are in line with the needs of the business
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning to ensure that there is confidence and clarity about the demand plan and ensure that key forecast decisions are being made with the appropriate amount of lead time to ensure successful execution of supply
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with critical cross functional and external partners including sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, quality, IT and contract manufacturing partners
  • Ensuring that the supply planning team is engaged on delivering strategic initiatives to drive growth and value for the KIND business: New item launch planning, cost improvement opportunities, strategic sourcing initiatives & FG inventory optimization opportunities
  • Responsible to ensure supply planning team is leveraging the advance planning system (Logility) and identify opportunities to drive system optimization
  • Lead a team of three supply planning managers; Establish clear performance expectations and ensure that their performance plans meet organizational objectives

You have…
  • 10+ years of supply planning experience within CPG / FMCG, 4+ years of people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (e.g., business, supply chain, industrial engineering, etc.)
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High customer focus with an ability to drive for results
  • Ability to work/communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals
  • Develops collaborative and diverse relationships
  • Ability to understand, assess & problem solve
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Tier 1 ERP systems (preferably JDE) and Tier 1 Planning systems (preferably Logility)
  • Experience working within an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or S&OP environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of critical business tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


Pluses
  • Prior plant finite scheduling or replenishment experience
  • APICS Certification
  • Cross-functional work experience outside of supply chain
