About The Job

As the Engineering Manager for Frontend Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled and energetic developers to plan and execute on Frontend projects for KeepTruckin’s customer facing web applications. You will be working with the product team to define product feature OKRs and achieve them by working to improve the team’s processes, productivity and capacity. Your project planning, management and leadership skills will be paramount in the success of the team and greatly reflect on the overall company outlook. As part of KeepTruckin Pakistan’s engineering management team, you would have the opportunity to help mold the culture and reputation of KeepTruckin Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of 10-15 individual contributors
  • Be involved in defining the product OKRs in coordination with the Product and Design teams; do projects scheduling and resourcing
  • Growing the team by owning the hiring plan, in order to achieve the OKRs
  • Carrying out weekly scrums, daily standups and/or any other agile technique to manage team progress
  • Ensure strict dev quality guidelines to make sure the codebase is clean and modular and hence efficient to maintain and iterate upon
  • Mentor and help engineers to plan and execute their career paths
  • Maintain a healthy code reviews pipeline that ensures timely processing of open pull requests
  • Keeping the tech stack up to date on the latest trends and software versions
  • Handling bi-yearly employee performance review cycles


Qualifications
  • A solid engineering background with at least 5+ years of Software development experience, that should include 3+ years of Frontend development experience
  • 3+ years experience managing a team of 5-10
  • Delivered as project or engineering manager 2-3 large scale software projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Angular, React, and TypeScript is a big plus
  • Experience working with product, design, and QA teams
  • Understanding and experience working with agile techniques and tools
