Reporting to the Director, this r ole is a critical role that ensures smooth running of the executive office and tends to communications or enquiries into the executive office as required. This role will also respond to emails, correspondence, phone calls, and requests on behalf of the Director as required.

This role works closely with the ANMM’s Executive team, ANMM Council members and senior members of staff to manage communications and enquiries .


Ideal applicants will have:


  • Extensive experience in providing high-level support to CEO or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to manage a range of multiple and competing activities to achieve specified and/or optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to acquire sound understanding and awareness of the public sector environment in regards to its accountability obligations, control and management framework applying to the Boards of public sector entities.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing concise and accurate reports and briefing notes.
  • Highly developed administration skills, with the proven ability to organise and arrange complex events and activities including conferences, seminars and travel.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • A genuine interest in harnessing technology to transform business systems and processes.
  • Optimism, resilience, adaptability and empathy.

Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria. Applications that do not address the selection criteria will not be considered for short listing by the Selection Committee. As part of the selection process the selection committee may invite candidates to undertake psychometric test, you should advise the selection committee if you have any special needs. Psychometric tests may be used as the initial short-listing test or later in the selection process. Some tests are very short while others may take one or more hours.
