Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Omron Canada Inc., this position is responsible for leading the company's financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, tax and regulatory requirements, processes and controls, ongoing financial modeling and annual business plan. Provide indirect Leadership to the Canadian based Sales Operations group.

Financial Accounting
Education: University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or Business
Management/Administration
Professional Designation: Chartered Accountant, Certified General Accountant, or Certified
Management Accountant
Experience: 10 years working knowledge in accounting and finance with at least 5 years
leadership/management experience

Position Summary

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Financial Accounting
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner
- Prepare all supporting information for audits and liaise with the Audit Committee and external auditors as necessary
- Oversee the completion and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions provided through corporate finance
- Oversee the financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash provided through corporate accounting
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting
- Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with company policy
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation
- Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate
- Prepare annual returns in a timely manner as appropriate
- Liaise with Corporate Finance, Finance Committee and/or Audit Committee as appropriate
- Assist with financial reporting as required at Board meetings and Annual General Meetings
- Provide Sales financial reporting for the Canadian Sales Leadership team.
- Manage the Finance aspect of various preferred customer agreements
- Develop Finance team goals that are fully aligned with the company's goals
- Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential through the Performance Management process.
- Ensure the corporate Finance and Accounting team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental, teamwork and customer service for the Canadian business
- Responsible for Financial Management Reporting for the Company
- Ensure financial management reporting processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business
- Develop and prepare a monthly Management Reporting Package
- Present monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results
- Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with OCI Vice President and America's Finance Vice President
- Assist the Regional Sales Managers with the preparation of annual budgets
- Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process
- Lead the quarterly outlook process
- Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to business partners
- Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and business plans.
- Maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports
- Ensure that accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with contract agreements
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects
- Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized
- Maximize income where possible and appropriate
- Oversee the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitments
