The Senior Depth Off Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all Depth Maintenance Management activities at Taif and Al Kharg associated with the delivery of an integrated set of maintenance services through the Salam Support Solution Contracts to meet both RSAF Operational requirements and MODSAP requirements defined through the MODSAP Back-to-Back Contracts. This encompasses the delivery of a cost effective and safe maintenance service which meets the RSAF’s Operational demands, meets the agreed Solution Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), management of Maintenance Authorisations, and consolidation of RSAF staff and SN PC trainees within the BAE Systems Service Delivery elements of the Support Solution.
Through the Taif Service Team providing a controlled environment to manage all risks associated with meeting the Depth Maintenance requirements within the timescales, quality standards and budgets set for the project.
The Job Holder will represent BAE Systems Saudi Arabia on all depth maintenance support solution matters relating to the Taif/Al Kharg Service implementation with our Partners, Product & Service Providers and Sub-Contractors through managing the strategic interfaces.
The Job Holder will be required to hold a level of delegated Maintenace responsibility and will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate engineering processes and assurance are applied consistently and effectively across the contracted activities in line with the Salam Engineering Management System. The Job Holder will be required to demonstrate that they have the required level of knowledge and experience to support their appointment being endorsed by the Head of Maintenance Typhoon and Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance.
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of the Taif/Al Kharg based Maintenance Solution & Continuing Airworthiness Management System (MCAMS) contained within the Salam BMS.
- Develop and maintain an agreed Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Management Plan defining the maintenance solution, people, supporting plans and processes which are deployed at Taif and Al Kharg to meet the requirements defined in the Salam Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Management Plan (MCAMP).
- Ensure that the maintenance organization works within the scope of the agreed Salam MOE and that the MOE reflects accurately the maintenance organisation currently in operation.
- Ensure that all maintenance responsible post holders within the Taif/Al Kharg organisation are suitable qualified and experienced practitioners, that they are current in their field, and with their appointment endorsed in line with the requirements in the MCAMP.
- Ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Approved Maintenance data, engineering standards and practices.
- Develop and maintain a set of Maintenance Performance Metrics to support the cost effective deployment of the Maintenance solution including Consolidation of RSAF Staff.
- Responsible as a Cost Account Manager for the Maintenance operation performance at Taif and Al Kharg.
- Ensure that any maintenance related risks have been highlighted to the business through the Salam Risk and Opportunity Management System.
- Ensure that any non-compliances with the Salam MCAMP and/or tailoring of the Maintenance solution have been agreed with the Head of Maintenance & Compliance.
- Ensure that any issues with the RSAF RFL have been highlighted to the Head of Maintenance & Head of Engineering & Compliance for resolution.
- Ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Approved Maintenance data, engineering standards and practices. Where any data integrity issues are found with the Approved Data ensure that these have been formally recorded/highlighted to the Approved Data originator and/or escalated through the Head of Engineering & Compliance.
- Ensure that the Taif/Al Kharg Maintenance Organisation has sufficient appropriately qualified/competent staff, together with the provision of any necessary maintenance staff training, to maintain competence and currency.
- Ensure that the competence of all maintenance staff, including management, has been assessed and that the associated engineering authorisations are in place.
- Promote an appropriate safety reporting culture ensuring that there is a proactive and systematic hazard analysis, documented through the Operations Safety Case and supporting Hazard Log, supporting the ongoing maintenance operation.
- Provide specialist maintenance guidance to the RSAF including where activities are likely to prejudice the safe and effective delivery of the maintenance solution.
- Planning and implementing maintenance support activities required to meet RSAF Operational requirements including deployments.
- Supporting briefings, at all levels, inside and outside the Company relating to the safe and effective delivery of the Maintenance Solution at Taif and Al-Kharg. This can take the form of verbal, presentation and/or written briefings.
- Ensure that a “Just and Fair Culture” is embedded within the Maintenance Organisation at Taif and Al Kharg to support the effective resolution of issues which may affect the safe delivery of the maintenance solution.
- Support any Acceptance Activities across the Salam Project associated with the delivery of the Maintenance solution.
- Support the effective functional development of all Depth Off Aircraft Maintenance staff.
- Day to day direction of any direct reports and their supporting staff ensuring that the appropriate quality standards are adhered to.
