We are mandated to source a technically strong, but also commercially minded Financial Controller for our international reinsurance client.   The role will demand strong leadership and reinsurnace accounting experience, combined with robust regulatory reporting knowledge.  

This role will suit an individual striving for a CFO role and will allow the incumbent to make a step-up in responsibility and often deputise for the No.1 position as the CFO is engaged on wider group projects.   The company operates a flat structure and decisions are made quickly, resulting in a fast-paced environment with lack of heirachy of overly formal structure.  The role is hands-on but at the same time will require superb stakeholder management skills.  Some exposure to FP&A will be seen as advantageous but not essential.
