A rare opportunity has arisen at our award winning Barton Under Needwood manufacturing facility for an experienced Human Resources professional taking on the role of Manager, this is a key appointment and sits within our senior plant management team.
The Barton site has grown from strength to strength over the years, it has doubled in size and leads the way in innovation and lean manufacturing.

The role of Human Resources Manager within Grupo Antolin will include the following:
- Provide a full range of employee relations interventions and solutions to every level of the site; general advice, mentoring, counselling, disciplinary, grievance, appeal.
- Work closely with the UK and Corporate HR team to facilitate the delivery of the HR strategy, local, national and global.
- Work with the HR Director and Corporate Compensation to manage the full scope of compensation and benefit matters for the site.
- Manage the annual budget process, working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure accurate headcount salary forecasts.
- Work with the General Manager to shape the organisational structure of the business to ensure both immediate and longer term resource capability is in place at the right time to deliver the operational requirements of the business; advise and support managers to achieve the plant organisational resource plan.
- Working closely the UK Talent Acquisition Manager, manage the overall recruitment and selection requirements for the site.
- Lead all new employee integration programmes and internal transfer/promotional orientation programmes.ms
- Lead employee communications via the Employee Forum, identifying and addressing any barriers to a positive employee satisfaction environment.
- Work with the central HR team to ensure UK wide professional standards and systems are embedded within the local site.
- Coach and develop the site business management team to champion a high performance and collaborative environment where employees feel empowered to give their best and achieve their personal and professional goals.
- Operate as a valued partner to the organisation and offer day to day solutions in a pragmatic, active and responsive way, promoting a positive and fair employee relations climate throughout the business.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong a mix of the following experience and attributes:
- Proven technical HR business partnering experience gained within a demanding and fast paced manufacturing business
- Proven experience in influencing senior management teams and key stakeholders.
- In depth knowledge of employment law
- Advanced MS Office capability
- SAP experience advantageous
- Excellent numeracy and problem solving skills; ability to produce cost/benefit business case reports.
- Demonstrable capability of producing detailed and professional written documents both in day to day communications and specifically in response to discipline/grievance/appeal cases
- Ideally MCIPD / MSc Human Resource Management qualified.
