We are looking for a full-time General Accountant who will perform general accounting and administration role and lead the accounting department in the company’s Jeddah office.


Candidates are expected to have strong motivation and interest to learn and willing expand his/her role in the future and career progression in the Finance and Accounting organisation of the business.   The General Accountant shall be responsible on the following:

  • Maintain relevant books of accounts like general ledgers, fixed asset registers, sales and stock accounts, etc. to meet required accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end close, commissions, payroll, job reporting, cash flow forecasting, Costing, Budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare forecast and budget estimates, and understand the Balance Sheet, P&L and cash flow statement impacts of account activity, including classifications of the financial statements.
  • Handling annual audit
  • Presentation, preparation, and distribution of daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports financial statements and performing basic financial management.
  • Handling VAT, Annual Tax Filing, Arabic book translation, and other GAZAT compliance.
  • Assisting the team in preparing monthly MIS for senior management with detailed analysis of the performance.
  • Assisting the team in preparing project profitability reports and helping them make business decisions.
  • Preparation of salary transfers and posting it in the ERP system.
  • Supervising the implementation of new ERP software and their implementation.
  • Preparing and applying for online or manual bank applications such Bank Guarantees or Letter of Credit after consultation with senior management.
  • Maintain, manage, and safekeeping of banking records, logs, spreadsheets, registers and will be responsible in the efficient filing, tracking and archiving of these records for audit purposes.
  • Prepares Journal Entry of online payments processed through the SADAD System.
  • Maintain daily/weekly and monthly reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts. Check and verify cash transactions and investigate and propose possible resolution for any discrepancies.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and perform Time Keeping function especially during vacation leave rotations.
  • Assist the Government Relation Team in processing GOSI payments and online payment.
  • General administrative roles such as answering and directing phone calls, organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments, etc and other functions the general manager may assign from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum three years’ and maximum twelve years’ working experience.
  • King Fahad University or King Saud University Graduate (compulsory - must)
  • Fluent in English & Arabic.
  • Strong knowledge of MS office, high proficiency in excel.
  • Must have knowledge of working with ERP and its modules.
  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accounting, or in any related Finance qualifications.
  • Must have transferable iqama.
