Shelf Drilling is a leading contractor of offshore drilling rigs, with global rig operations across four core operating regions – MENAM (Middle East, North Africa & Mediterranean), Southeast Asia, India and West Africa.

Shelf Drilling are seeking an HSE Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role will involve offshore travel within Abu Dhabi.

HSE Engineer:

• Provide operational support to the HSE Manager in Abu Dhabi.
• Provide a communication link between HSE organizations and the offshore workforce.
• Assist and coach rig-based personnel in the implementation and understanding of the Company Management System.
• Assist in the implementation of the Company/Rig goals and objectives with HSE Management.
• Provide training in safety related topics (e.g. confined space, rescue at height, etc.).
• Work closely with Offshore Installation Managers on HSE matters.
• Monitor and support all departments with compliance, Safety Conversations, Safety risk assessment, Permit to Work and Energy Isolation.

Requirements:

• Emirati passport holder.
• An interest in a career within the offshore Oil & Gas sector.
• A related engineering degree within a similar field.
• Willing to travel offshore to conduct field visits when required. Safety training will be provided.
• The ideal profile will be proactive, motivated with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
