Medical Manuscript Writer

Overview
The Medical Manuscript Writer will lead efforts in editing, proofreading, and formatting medical content for medical manuscripts.
Responsibilities
(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)
- Writing and editing manuscripts for research findings for internal reports or submission to journals for publication;
- Responsible for the development of medical content including manuscripts. Development includes:
Necessary background research
Working with clients and other team members to determine outline for project
Providing full reference set
Preparing materials for legal and regulatory review with clients
Incorporating all stakeholder feedback
- Assists senior team members in client-facing meetings
- Assists in medical meetings to gather data for planned or potential publications
- Focused on learning and fully understanding assigned disease state and treatment options
- Excellent writing skills; able to produce clear, compelling, and eloquent text.
- Superb organizational skills.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
- Must be able to translate difficult science concepts for multiple audiences.
- Must be flexible and able to drive deadline-driven projects to completion.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to coordinate work by numerous contributors and manage complex processes.
- Must be advanced user of Microsoft Office and EndNote.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
- Master’s Degree but preferably a Ph.D. in the medical sciences. Two - three years of writing medical material (original research manuscripts, review articles/book chapters, and grant applications) or other relevant experience required.
