My Community bank is a fast-growing ethical lender. My Community Bank offers unsecured landing and deposits to his members in the UK.

The Treasurer/Chair of Audit Committee will work closely with the CFO. The Treasurer would be preferably a qualified accountant or have a CFA qualification or is someone that has experience in finance leadership positions.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of UK corporate governance and adhere to the highest ethical standards.

Required for this role

• Advanced financial acumen In-depth experience of working directly with financial issues. Experience could be either in a financial leadership role or as a director or partner of a professional services firm in this area. Candidates will be able to lead the board in debates about complex financial matters and would ideally be chartered within their field.
• UK regulated financial services Experience working in a leadership role in, or providing advice to, a UK regulated financial services company.

• Chair skills and / or experience, e.g. know how to prepare and manage an agenda and run a successful meeting

• Ability to drill down into the detail but then summarise and communicate well in plain, non-technical language
• Ability to form positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders including external auditors, internal audit, CFO, CEO, board chair and other board directors
• Awareness that the level of complexity and responsibility associated with the role of audit committee chair is increasing. The treasurer/audit committee will need to commit sufficient time to the role (circa 15 days per year) and will need to meet our common bond.
