PBA, now part of Stantec, are looking forward to a period of expansion over the coming years and our Civil Infrastructure team in Reading are currently seeking a Principal Engineer to join them. We work on a wide variety of both public and private sector projects which require collaboration from multiple discipline experts across the business. They include some significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects offering you the opportunity to truly partner with the client to deliver effective infrastructure development solutions.

As our Principal, you’ll be a BSc qualified or Chartered Engineer. Your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions is most crucial to your success in this role. You will be ambitious, forward thinking and have a desire to work for one of the most progressive brands in the industry.

Ideally, you will have expertise in development, highway and civil infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle – from concept, feasibility and planning through to detailed design and delivery. Experience with Civils 3D is advantageous.

You’ll need the following to succeed in this role:

• A detailed understanding of highway infrastructure planning and design;
• Proven experience of delivering commercially successful projects;
• In-depth knowledge of section 38 and section 278 highway design;
• Experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members;
• Experience with MicroDrainage and Civil's 3D are advantageous.

You’ll most likely be an Incorporated or Chartered civil engineer, but your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions is most crucial to success in this role.
