    Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading enterprise management software company for the convenience retail and petroleum markets, is seeking an experienced Product manager for their Alpharetta, GA Location! The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for working with internal and external customers to understand customer needs, industry trends, and corporate strategy to define a product vision and roadmap that translates into business and technical requirements that feed ERP project specifications and system designs. The right candidate will possess 5+ years of software product management experience while possessing both leadership and technical skills to effectively and efficiently translate business needs into technical requirements and lead the delivery of software solutions.     Primary Responsibilities Of The Right Candidate
    • Work with internal and external customers to understand customer needs, industry trends, and corporate strategy to define a product vision and roadmap that translates into business and technical requirements that feed ERP project specifications and system designs.
    • Rely on Business Analysts and Development teams to analyze business processes, determine software/hardware solutions to business process gaps, and write system specifications that address those gaps.
    • Work closely with other business units to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives, coordinate overall solution delivery between products, and meet project deadlines.
    • Work with customers, leadership and other subject matter experts to understand client needs, industry trends and corporate strategy.
    • Identify product gaps and works with senior leadership to create product roadmaps that address them.
    • Lead and coach Business Analysts.
    • Help define improvements to departmental policies and procedures and ensures adherence to "best-practice" standards following Agile methodologies.
    • Responsible for the creation of epics and product features that meet or exceed customer and corporate needs.
    • Contribute and develop documentation for new software features including functional and non-functional requirements, user interface mockups, process and data flow diagrams, dashboards, reports, and user stories
    • Works with sales, consultants, support teams and other teams to ensure product roadmaps and delivery timelines are aligned with customer commitments.
    • Review and critique deliverables from others, and serves as Point of Contact for Wholesale related software escalation of concerns or questions from other areas of the business.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for Wholesale related products and services.
    • Perform work with a high degree of autonomy; may include some evenings and weekends when necessary; some travel may be required for customer visits or industry events.


    Experience Of The Right Candidate
    • This role requires both leadership and technical skills to effectively and efficiently translate business needs into technical requirements and lead the delivery of software solutions.
    • Minimum of 5 years Software Business Analyst or Product Management related experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience specifically with Wholesale functional requirements and software.
    • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms.
    • Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently.
    • Ability to facilitate/lead requirements gathering and design discussion meeting with customers and internal teams as needed.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Previous experience leading product management teams a plus.
    • Business or software development related bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and ceremonies
    • Knowledge of Wholesale Petroleum industry.
    • Knowledge of business accounting is a plus.
