  • Key accountabilities:

    Ensure Product Quality

    ·        Ensures that all products sold are conform to the pre-approved quality standards

    ·        Administer relevant tests on Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and other inputs to ensure adherence to quality standards as set in the contracts

    Quality policy & control plan deployment

    • Executes Quality Assurance plans for all product lines in manufacturing and organize training, inspection and audits to ensure that the processes in the plant are conform to the Quality Control plans and instructions

    ·        Identifies tools and inspection equipment required and establishes inspection guidelines for each type of materials and components

    ·        Establishes a failure analysis system, root cause analysis, incoming materials failure analysis and failure analysis on customer returns. Ensures reporting and corrective actions are taken in a timely manner

    Food Safety:

    Responsible for maintaining prerequisite programs (PRPs) to control safety hazards in materials intended for use in the production of feed and animal food.

    Has the responsibility and authority:

    a)   to manage organize food safety teams,

    b)   to ensure relevant training

    c)   to ensure that the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated, and

       d)    to report to the Company’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.

    Audits

    ·        Maintains plant’s conformance to the quality standards and manages an internal audit system to ensure the same

    ·        Performs Quality Audits and monitors utilities for Quality

    Continual Reviews

    ·        Reviews with Sr. Manager QA, the requirements related to new processes, new products introduction and changes in technology, customer needs.

    Efficient manpower management:

    ·        Outline the quality assurance standards and procedures to the quality assurance personnel

    ·        Evaluate and manage all quality assurance personnel at Plant level

    Reports

    ·        Report as per agreed frequency on BSC as well as operational improvement initiatives using relevant measures

    Vendor quality measurement:

    ·        Ensures effectiveness of management program with the materials management team to track quality of products and on-time-delivery performance of different suppliers.

    ·        Reports findings periodically to the Purchasing team to communicate discuss corrective measures, as necessary

    Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    Qualifications :

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food science or chemistry

    ·        ISO 22000

    ·        A recognized qualification / certification in quality management systems

    ·        Experience in Laboratory control

    Experience : 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Management in the Food sector

    Skills :

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ( MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint , MS- Word) , MS – Outlook
    • Working knowledge of ERP (like SAP) is desirable.
    • Knowledge of statistical quality control tools / methods is desirable
    • Working knowledge of English and Arabic
