We currently have an exciting new vacancy at our Tingalpa Snackfood site; a Full Time Raw Materials Handler on Day Shift .
The hours of work for this role is 06:30-14:30, Monday to Friday .

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting production schedules and ensuring raw materials are picked and issued to production then returning goods from production at completion of runs
  • Receiving deliveries from suppliers as well as entering and updating stock in SAP
  • Checking unloading and put-away of incoming goods
  • Lead Sanitation and Housekeeping to Smiths Food Safety standards
  • Stocktake of raw materials and general store duties
  • Chep pallet loading
Other duties will include investigating Raw Materials stock discrepancies, checking certificates of analysis, arranging interstate transfers, general store duties, general cleaning and housekeeping to ensure all areas are kept up to The Smiths Snackfood Safety standards.
This is a truly varied role and you will be expected to be in constant communication with all production lines and raw materials team members to ensure excellent service is provided to production.

Qualifications/Requirements

We're looking for somebody with the following skills and experience:

  • A self-motivated individual with extensive forklift experience and working knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), HACCP and GMP
  • Basic PC skills (MS Office Applications, SAP) with a good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail, safety and reliability
  • A flexible approach to ensure the job gets done right the first time with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload around team goals and objectives, to contribute to the development of a team-based culture
  • Commitment to continuous improvement within Food Safety
  • A motivated individual with a hunger to learn new skills, challenge yourself and progress your career
