Job Summary: A Biostatistician I in the Network Office of Research and Innovation will work with investigators to develop research protocols, compile data, manage databases; conduct analysis on data utilizing specialized statistical computer programs and present research results in numerical and graphic formats. The Biostatistician I will analyze research in specialties such as healthcare, public health, education, mental health and/or social/behavioral sciences. the Biostatistician I will be responsible for the ethical conduct of research projects as assigned to support research endeavors throughout LVHN. In this position the Biostatistician I will also serve as a mentor for other team members and provide educational sessions regarding research design and analysis for the medical and research staff throughout the network. Must be able to work independently and meet project timelines for study development and completion.
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in statistics, biostatistics or epidemiology.
1-3 years analytical experience in a health services research or clinical trials environment; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Excellent attention and accuracy with details. Strong aptitude and strong working knowledge of statistical computing packages. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff and colleagues to provide a comprehensive approach to effectively achieve research results and goals.
