Senior Officer Anti-Piracy

Position Purpose Summary:

beIN is seeking to recruit an Anti-Piracy Monitoring Supervisor. Working under the supervision of, and reporting to, the Content Protection Manager for MENA,

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Monitoring piracy of beIN’s content during live events, sending cease and desist notices to online platforms, and coordinating with beIN’s anti-piracy vendors, technology and legal departments on anti-piracy actions.
• Undertaking analysis of piracy activity across social media, ecommerce platforms, app stores, and other modes.
• Provide key reporting and data analysis for the anti-piracy team and beIN’s business.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Good internet and online skills to discover, investigate and take actions against piracy
• Knowledge of, or capability to quickly acquire knowledge of intellectual property rights, internet and broadcast regulation
• Experience working in a fast paced environment, preferably within a technical or online-related industry at a supervisory level
• Analytical abilities
• Strong personal qualities, including enthusiasm, adaptability, judgment and team work
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English

 

The successful candidate will need to be prepared to work flexible hours (including evenings) in order to undertake anti-piracy monitoring and other activities during live broadcasts and at other times as required.
