    Digital disruption is the big cycle item for IT services, and we are looking for Solution Consultants with experience in digital solutions and technologies to join our Solutioning and Commercial Functions Small Deals team who support sub $5m opportunities.

    The role is ideal for an ambitious UK based Solution Consultant who has experience of working with Sales and Account teams to deliver end to end solutions that produce high value outcomes for our clients.

    You will have demonstrated the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, and be consultative in interacting with clients, asking probing, relevant questions to draw out underlying issues and validate solution options.

    As a Solution Consultant you will be responsible for the end to end management and delivery of solutions for medium complexity deals, leveraging DXC’s portfolio of industry leading digital offerings and its strategic partners offerings. You will ensure alignment across our client’s business objectives, the technical solution, and the contract/SOW to develop integrated, cost-effective solutions that meet the client's requirements and maximise DXC’s competitive advantage. You will identify acceptable solution trade-offs and risks to both DXC, its strategic partners and the client, and lead the development of integrated transition and transformation plans. Your demonstrated commercial acumen will be used to develops SOWs and negotiate SOWs/ contract terms with the client.

    Successful candidates will have the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple workloads (potentially across different clients), have a track record of delivering medium complexity IT solutions and possess a broad skill set in different technologies and project delivery models.

    About Solutioning And Commercial Functions

    The Solutioning and Commercial Functions team is a global organisation with regional presence that drives best practices into our Solutioning and Sales Support model to ensure our solutions meet our client’s business needs, leverage our offering investments and align to our delivery model.

    Summary Of Key Responsibilities
    • Responsible for producing and maintaining the high-level solution strategy, determining key differentiators that will resonate with the client to ensure solution components optimally and comprehensively fit opportunity requirements and resolve client business challenges.
    • Responsible for the end to end management and delivery of the solution for medium complexity deals, including integrated transition and transformation plans and detailed SOWs.
    • Leading internal Deal Shaping Workshops, Solution Strategy Workshops and Solution Design workshops as appropriate for medium complexity deals; Utilising outputs to interact with client stakeholders to qualify, influence and shape decision criteria and expectations associated with business/technology improvements and the value of DXC solutions.
    • Application of Value-Based Solutioning (VBS) concepts that add value and improve Total Cost of Ownership and/or business case for the client.
    • Effective collaboration with appropriate delivery leaders to design the solution and agree on key solution parameters prior to costing activities.
    • Maintaining a high-level understanding of DXC and its Strategic Partner offerings (features, advantages, and business benefits to clients).
    • Leading and supporting in governance activities, negotiating with governance leaders on deal needs and driving a successful outcome
    • Provision of ongoing assistance to the delivery teams during transition by providing guidance on 'intent,’ previous client discussions and drivers for design decisions.

    Industry Expertise

    You will demonstrate a good understanding of the role of IT within one or more of the following: Public Sector, Energy and Utilities, Manufacturing, Retail, Travel and Transport, Banking and Insurance, including key business processes and associated digital technology trends. You will have successfully designed solutions and produced demonstrable high value outcomes for relevant clients.

    Security Clearance

    Existing SC clearance is desirable. Candidates must be capable of successfully applying for and achieving security clearance appropriate to the role.
