Proactively connect with external and internal stakeholders to generate ideas and strategies to scientifically support company goals in the diagnostics business.
Primary responsibilities for role:
- Organises and coordinates the medical affairs team globally
- Supervises and guarantees training of existing and new medical affairs directors and managers
- Leads organisational and strategic changes in the medical affairs area to achieve goals
- Represents the medical affairs area in international scientific meetings organised by medical societies, health associations, patient advocacy organizations and other related institutions
- Leads contacts with recognised opinion leaders in the field to increase the visibility and scientific prestige of the company
- Supervises budget, quality and timelines of the medical affairs activities worldwide
- Leads interactions with multiple internal stakeholders to achieve alignments with the overall strategy of the company
- Provides increased level of strategic input into clinical development and/or business development plans with the support of the medical affairs staff
- Develops and executes publication & post-marketing research strategies with the support of the medical affairs staff
Additional Responsibilities:
Supervise and/or prepare persentations for Sympsiums and other scientific events. Participate in strategic and operational marketing meetings contributing to the development of long range plans for the division
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High profile role that demands an experienced professional with strong maangement skills. Unterstanding of financial terms and principles. Ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions. Translate ideas into deliverables. Make informed decisions when presented with conflicting information and opinions.
Education:
Phisician, PhD or Pharm D with strong knowledge in Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bankin/ Immunohematology
Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in the Diagnostic/Pharmaceutical industry
Equivalency:
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
