The Division of Allergy & Immunology coordinates its medical services and collaborates its research and educational activities with Hamad Medical Corporation and Weill Cornell Medical College – Qatar. Job Summary: The Technologist I - Skin Allergy performs specialized duties including Skin Allergy Tests, Skin Patch Tests, and Pulmonary Function Tests. Working under supervision, the role may be required to exercise judgment in making technical decisions related to delegated tasks, but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members if necessary.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Working under close supervision, performs a specific range of routine Allergy Testing and Pulmonary Function procedures, and associated responsibilities, as dictated by the workload in the rostered area.
- Using accepted methods and techniques, solves interrelated problems and performs specific Technical/Clinical assignments within the Outpatient Clinic & Inpatient Units.
- Applies American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society standard practices and techniques in routine situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes
- May assist in research trials in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory that include taking measurements and recording observations, collecting, compiling and processing data.
- Responsible for quality maintenance and operation of PFT/Clinic equipment.
- Keeps track of inventory and facilities PR’s when new supplies are needed.
- Stays current with literature.
- Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 3 years experience
- Holds a clinical license in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or as a PFT Technologist
- Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in relevant field
- Evidence of ongoing continual development and personal development
- Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
