Position Purpose
Provides high-impact, high-quality writing, and interpretive and analytical research. Researches and writes promotional materials for the Faculty and its departments and programs. Develops cases for support. Conveys key Faculty and University messages, summarizing ideas and in-depth knowledge of a variety of fields.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years’ experience in journalism or speechwriting; demonstrated experience in developing messages and creating a brand story
Knowledge in a variety of areas, including medical advancements, scientific breakthroughs and health research in postsecondary education
Proven ability to perform high-impact journalistic or marketing research
Excellent interpersonal skills, critical thinking and proven ability to balance competing demands in a dynamic environment
High standards for accuracy, responsiveness and integrity
Internet savvy, with solid technology experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and related programs
Strong proven verbal and written communication skills in both official languages
