Cost Controller

We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Cost Controller with previous healthcare experience to audit the activity of the clinical department, hospitality department, kitchen, and all food & beverage outlets, and to provide a head of the department with data necessary for cost control.

 The day to day duties of this role will involve:

 

Data Collection:

1. Construct data accumulation systems for the cost accounting system.
2. Create and review the controls for data accumulation and reporting systems.

Inventory:

1. Coordinate physical inventory counts.
2. Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
3. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
4. Validate the cost of service sold as part of the month-end close.
5. Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting.
6. Work with the materials review board to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory.
7. Handle Inventory Valuation on monthly basis
8. 
   

Analysis:

1. Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses.
2. Report on breakeven points by products, work centers, and division.
3. Report on margins by patient and division service.
4. Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending.
5. Analyze capital budgeting.
6. Perform cost accumulation tasks.

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

 A Bachelor degree in Accounting or any other related discipline

 Any professional Accounting certification. CPA, ACCA, CIMA or CMA

Experience:

 Minimum of 7 years’ working experience at a senior/supervisor level in Finance/Accounting Function with at least 5 years as Cost Controller

 Previous GCC/Qatar experience

 Experience in either Healthcare and/or Hospitality sectors and preferably from within the governmental sector.

 Experience in a start-up environment
