Program & Events Coordinator (Temporary 6 months contract)

Job Purpose

To act as the primary focal point of administrative contact and liaison with external and internal stakeholders to plan, organize, and implement various activities that are under the ability friendly program.


Key Responsibilities


  • Use knowledge and understanding of underlying operational issues to assist in administrative problem-solving and plan, develop, and implement projects and programs
  • Lead coordination of special projects and initiatives i.e. Autism awareness month, national sports day, spring camp, summer camp, health & wellness fair, Emir cup, Café +, Special Olympics etc.  
  • Update and maintain a database of all internal and external stakeholders’ contact information
  • Assist in planning relevant events, such as creating new contents for the new events/programs, presentations; distribute information, draft agendas, and organize and facilitate high level special events in coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external meetings; prepare and distribute minutes of meetings, keep records & documents of meeting decisions, and track agreed actions & decisions
  • Collect and compile data regarding the department/office’s programs and projects that could be presented to the public and relevant communities/audiences; prepare and deliver presentations using this data to QF Community Development.
  • Compile statistics, and gather & compute needed data to provide reports to management
  • Maintain relevant files, records and databases so that information is readily accessible
  • Maintain special events calendar and represent the community development engagement team office as assigned; Researches specialized equipment and procures required items.
  • Develop communication project briefs and content for various communications channels and purposes in accordance to the communications procedures and brand guidelines; Provide customer service to anybody enquiring about the ability friendly program



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 2-5 years of relevant events-related communications and implementation experience, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of data assessment, interpretation, evaluation, and reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and work methods
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
